I Scream You Scream

From our Urban Coffee HQ

We all scream for Ice Cream!!!

The last couple of weeks have been really hard for us at Urban Coffee-you will never be able to guess the amount of ice cream samples we’ve been forced to eat in order to find the right ice cream for you guys….!!
Luckily for you though, we definitely think we’ve picked the best, and not only that, they’re local to Birmingham too!!
Let us introduce you to (if you haven’t already had the pleasure) Churchfields Farm!
Their ice cream is absolutely delicious and because they don’t over-whip it, you get a much more creamy and luxurious texture. Not only this, but you’ll find that they always have seasonal ice creams in (at christmas they do a christmas pudding one!!!), as well as being able to make ice cream with our own Urban Coffee Espresso Beans (we can’t wait!)
They’ve won loads of awards including; First Prize at the Three Counties for Churchfields Vanilla, A Gold Great Taste Award for the Rum & Raisin and were finalists in the Heart of England Fine Food Diamond Awards with their Orange & Grand Marnier flavour!
All of these flavours you will be able to see at Urban Coffee from this Friday as well as a few more, so get ready to be tempted-these ice creams are amazing!

Summer Time!

From our Church Street Emporium

Finally it’s here!! The sun is shining (just about) and the weather is definitely feeling a lot milder (we’ve even had people sitting on the pew outside!!)

So we have decided it’s time to start sorting out a yummy range of smoothies and frappes for you, so that you can still visit us even when it’s a bit too hot for coffee! (Although we’re pretty sure we could drink it anytime!!)

Our smoothies are going to contain real fruit, and the frappes are going to be really luxurious and creamy, so whatever you’re fancying, we’ll have something for everyone!!

Helping our heroes

From our Urban Coffee HQ

As you know we at Urban Coffee like to do our bit for charity and this time one of us is venturing further than the emporium in the name of chairty

One of the Co-Founders of Urban Coffee is taking part in the Black Mountains Challenge for the charity, Troop Aid. Troop Aid helps soldiers who arrive back in the United Kingdom from a war zone without their personal effects or clothing. The objective of TROOP AID is to supply the ‘basic essentials’ when service casualties return from serving their country overseas.

Is it worth our sponsorship money you ask?

He is going to give blood, sweat, and skin from his feet for this good cause, 47km run/walk over the Black Mountains in Wales, 15 summits over 660m. With an aim to complete it in under 9hrs.

Please sponsor him and the team

or donate when you pop into the Church St Emporium for a lovely coffee!

Cofftails!

From our Church Street Emporium

Yes you read that title right…we’re thinking up different types of coffee cocktails, i.e. cofftails!

To begin with, we have Frangelico (a hazelnut liqueur), Baileys, Jameson’s Whiskey & Amaretto. You’ll be able to add them to a normal latte, or you could go crazy and have them added to a double shot of espresso, milk, cream and ice to have a proper cofftail!

As always, we’re hoping for you, the customer’s input in this, so let us know what ideas you have for additions to the already very yummy range!
